Application tracker

A job-application tracker with a Firefox extension that fills in forms.

The story

Searching for jobs is a tedious activity and finding ones that actually meet your criteria is plain difficult. For my job search this time I used the power of LLMs to help me find jobs.

The application tracker scrapes jobs from websites with amenable terms and conditions. Then it uses a cheap LLM to parse the job postings and add tags that are relevant to my job search. This tagging system was calibrated based on a set of job postings that I manually labeled. I continuously monitor its tagging via a pending queue. This queue has job postings that I mark as either a match or not and the goal is to have >95% accuracy on job postings that are actually applicable to my job search.

In addition to help me track which jobs I have applied to it includes a Firefox extension that will auto fill the common fields like name and address while also recording the company name and job title so that I can track my response rates.
